Lamarra Hinton

Grants Manager

Lam is a Development Consultant who works at the intersection of vision and viability—securing the resources that allow bold civic work to take root and endure. Through grant writing, stewardship, and high-impact funding strategy, she helps PA Youth Vote sustain and expand its commitment to youth-led democracy.

Educated at Temple University in Journalism, Broadcast Telecommunications, and Mass Media, with a minor in Political Science, Lam approaches her work as both a strategist and a storyteller. An artist at heart, she believes life moves the way music does—through rhythm, resonance, and transformative release—and that the systems we build are shaped by the stories we choose to repeat. Policy, to her, is not abstract; it is the quiet score beneath everyday life, setting the tempo for who is heard, who is protected, and who is allowed to lead.

Lam is deeply committed to youth power and to the idea that young people are not preparing for leadership—they are already carrying it. Her work is guided by the belief that when youth are given the language, tools, and space to understand and influence the systems around them, they don’t just participate in democracy; they compose it.
