Election Day Poll Workers & Interpreters

At 17 years of age you can apply to be a poll worker and get paid! Appointed positions in many counties include Clerk, Machine Inspector, and Language Interpreter.

18-year-olds can run for these offices!

  • Judge of Elections and Inspector of Elections - Run the polling place on Election Day. These are paid positions with the county board of elections

  • Committeeperson Work with your local Democratic or Republican Party to help get your neighbors out to vote. CPs often receive payment from their ward leader or party committee.

Is there a candidate that you really like? Help them get elected! Call or email their campaign office. They always take volunteers to help canvassing, handing campaign flyers, and calling and texting voters. There are often paid opportunities as well.
