Chief of Staff

Marissa Friedman (she/her) is an educator, student organizer, and civic engagement activist, with a passion for building power in communities. In addition to her work with PA Youth Vote, Marissa is a project manager at Kitamba, where she works with districts and organizations to develop strategy and execute their priorities. Before joining PA Youth Vote, she developed history and civics curriculum and led professional development for teachers in New York City. She also worked with the When We All Vote team in Philadelphia to engage young voters across the city. She holds a masters of education degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
